Welcome to the M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre

India is the largest producer of milk in the world and accounts for approx. 23% of the world’s milk production. India has the largest number of cattle and buffaloes in the world. There is a great deficiency of qualified veterinarians and para-veterinarians to cater this huge livestock population in terms of animal health, management, preventive health care and breeding services in the country. I would like to congratulate the prestigious M.R. group of institutions for taking a innovative step by establishing M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre in the native tract of genetically potential germplasm of buffaloes and cows. This great effort will help in removing the deficiencies of qualitative veterinary services and will also play an important role in conservation of the potential germplasm of livestock.

I, after a long journey in the veterinary profession and having worked in all capacities in the State Animal Husbandry department, personally feel honoured and privileged to serve M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre as Executive Director. We, as a team of experienced educationist, administrators, professionals and academicians of high profile are trying to put best efforts to develop the College as centre of excellence in Veterinary education, Animal health care and community outreach. The highly talented faculty and the rich collaborative environment on the campus focus on developing exceptional veterinarians. We, as a team are committed to ensure that our College is a workplace where every member of college family including students and parents are valued and heard.
